Air Box Replacement
When Weissach tried to tune the 911, they discovered a leak in the air-box and suggested that I change it. I had one on hand and so did not need to buy a new one. Once I had replaced the box and re-installed it in the car, I then tried to start the engine. There was the smell of buring wire and the engine did not start. I discovered that the wire, from the solenoid to the cold-start valve had melted. I guess I had created a short cirucit somewhere, perhaps where the wires pass behind the shell. I removed the air box (what a PITA), rebulit the harness and wire and re-installed everything. So far, all looks good but now it won't start at all. Sigh ...
